I’ve been going through the motions in 2023 and previous years, allowing myself to be upset over other folks’ actions and their problems. Allowing myself to absorb their energy, picking up the crosses they were supposed to beat. Day after day just aggravated, tense muscles and anger stemming from their absorbed negative energy…I couldn’t survive like that. It’s literally the worst feeling to walk around with the weight of someone else’s nasty, negative energy on your shoulders. I decided I don’t enjoy being covered in other people’s energy, especially negative energy. Last week I became so burdened with other people’s issues, I couldn’t hear my own thoughts. I can home, took a bath and prayed. Expressed my concerns to my team, meditated and went to sleep. Plan of action: Observe. Do not Absorb. From that day on, I’ve been in tune with myself and staying out of the problems of others, tuning out the gossip and praying more. It’s working!!!! I even set boundaries by letting people know I choose not to be involved in their drama.
Minding my own business and refusing to absorb the bad vibes of others is peaceful, comfortably new and I must admit I like it here. Meditation and prayer helps me cope with snakes in my environment too. Channeling my own anger into something positive, focusing on myself to avoid the foolishness, and listening to music keep me in a stable mind frame. It’s not always easy but it does work.
I am working to build myself up, to walk into my higher self with a sound mind, healthy body and setting more boundaries.
